sinceyour going to use apower adder i would use 3.73 gears with an auto, The main thing here is start with the rearend and go foward with the build, what i mean is
build rearend, suspension, tranny, then engine.
if you go engine,tranny, rearend and suspensionand plan to drive it during the build process your going to break stuff right and left. and never get it built becuase youll be fixing other stuff from all the power you have.
450rwhp is a lot of hp for a 302
I mean your talking about having around 525 est flywheel hp
I wold look seriously toward a 347 build becasue it would be more streetable with 500hp than a 302 at 500hp

yea if your looking for 450 hp you are going to need to mod every thing on that car, brakes, suspension, drivetrain because fox 5.0s have about 200 whp stock and 450 would destroy the car maybe youll want to be more conservative with your numbers.
I.E. my 95 camaro z28 puts down about 330 hp (SLP loud mouth, slp shortys, k&N intake, LT4 hot cam kit, lt4 intake, bbk twin 52mm TB,granatelli maf, jet stage 2 chip) and all the rest of the car is stock aside from some ZO6 wheels, a short throw shifter, and lowering springs....and it really needs more like a stage 1-2 clutch and a better possi for starters. im not even driving it right now because the clutch is almost done for and its A REAL ***** TO DRIVE IN ANYTHING BUT DRY WEATHER,alsoive been putting the money into my stangs i think total i have almost $5k into mods and time spent. and when i got the car i set out for400 hp thinking it would be easy.... so liek i said you may want to be more conservative
