not to be a *****, but can we please keep this thread focused on gt40 head porting? anyone willing to add helpful advice or links please feel free to do so, thanks.
Yeah, you can cut your time down to just 1 hour using a Tungsten Carbide Automotive Porting Tool, on an electric drill.

tooslow he didn't give me any advice on techniques. I'm an electricain by trade and I was trading electricalwork at his shop for head work. On my heads he would do some grinding and put it on the flow bench to see if he was helping or hurting. It took some time to do and he said he could have gotten more out of them but it would require bigger valves and reshaping of the combustion chamber to take full advantage of the bigger valves but witha cubic inch of only 302 and maximum rpm of 5500he said it wasn'tnecessary. He said the valve job was a huge help on flow. He told me whenever you are doing anything performance get the best valve job you can.I sold those heads to someone on eBay. The new owner put them on during a H/C/I change and got I think76 rwhp out of it. I had some pictures of them when I had them on eBay, I will try to find them but this was about four years ago.

you can get them at most automotive specialty stores, they also make smaller ones to use in a dremel and you can find those at home depot.

sounds likeyour machine shop guy knew what he was doing. 76 hp out of e7s sounds really good. Using a fow bench is definatley the way to go, but when your broke like me, you just gotta go off instinct and past experience when porting.
