Default H pipe issues help

I recently had my offroad h pipe put back on after emissions. There was a leak on the drivers side between the h pipe and the collector. My mechanic tightened up the bolts and it was fine for about a day. Statred back up. He then put in a female flange piece into the h pipe at the collector and sealed that up then bolted it all back together. The same leak happened today.

He said the flange might just be shot and thats why its not holding. Anyone else have a leak there? Any solutions? Should I just buy a new h pipe? Thanks.

Mine did the same thing over and over. I just ended up finding a new h pipe really cheap. Solved my issue.

Yea I'm thinking thats the route I ahve to go. I looked around and the cheapest new BBK h pipes I found were $170. I dont want to buy a used one and just have a repeat. Anyone know where to get one for cheap?

Another quick question. Would a MAC offroad h-pipe bolt up to my BBK shortie headers? Just asking becuase they're about 20 bucks cheaper than the BBK o/r one and they still sound good. Thanks.

sometimes axle grease works esp close to the collector. it burns up and leaves carbon. can help seal an exhaust leak

maybe try a thin but constant coat around the circumfrence. get back to us, if it works share with us.

If you're worried about price, go with JEGS or Summit Racing. They are cheap and pretty decent parts.
