Default double x-pipe

has anyone ever thought of a double x-pipe.. i drew a picture on paint. check it out.

do you think it would work well.. or just decrease performance..

not really worried about sound i was just looking at gaining power.

that's.... interesting. After the first X the exhuast pressure is equalized so I don't see the second X doing anything performance worthy.

If anything all I'd think there'd be would be a loss of torque at best.

I agree with onyx after the exhaust is pressure equalized its equalized thesecond x kinda pointless. and i cant see the extra bends being benificial i think pipes that are more or less straight after that point would be the best bet

well i know the design of the x-pipe basically sucks out the from your headers

the thought i had was will flow be better?..
taking the original design and addinganother part of the main part which makes it so efficent.

i thought i would bring up the idea here.. mustang guys are more reasonable thanintroducing this idea to the 350z forum people...

i would love to test this tho... you never kno
i dunno in my theory it would work better

How about you just get an O-pipe?

http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main...;products_id=2

You've heard of the Y pipe.. the X pipe.. the H pipe.. nothing can touch the O pipe!!! It provides 100% back pressure feedback on ALL engines!! Torque increase and kuneutson valve float brings in much lower revs so you don't hurt your motor! Not CARB Legal. Please specify standard or polished finish. Product shown is dual input O-Pipe with standard finish.

iit would be intresting to see dynoed i guess but i dont really see it helping. the x is suposed to balance pressure at less extreme angle using the alternating engine pulses LRLRLRLR (someone i correct me if i am wrong, and it could be RLRLRLRL or LRLRLR all depends on the engine) asw opposed to the 90 degree angle of the H, so whats the purpose of the second x this is the part i dont really understand?

I think you need to take your idea and add a H pipe into it so it will sound good and give you good low end torque
