Spray it dry! Easier and much safer on a EFI engine...

75 seems like just a tail wind
100 you know your spraying
150, i still need to order the jets

i just use the 100s all the time...

100 shot will let you know it's there!!! but since he's a noob with a licence...if he keeps this up by the time he's 18 his licence will be suspended due to all the points he'll have!!!....good thing my parents wouldn't let me have a 5.0 when I was 16!!! heck I got in enough trouble with a subaru brat!!![:@]

I ran a 100hp wet NOS kit for years with no problems. (Dry kit popped a head gasket early on). Run the timing no higher than 10 BTDC.
An aftermarket rev limiter that actually cuts the spark and not the injectors, like the factory limiter does, would be very wise with w 5-speed in case he misses a gear and jabs the button!!!! The extra fuel from the wet kit will let it keep reving until the rods see daylight with the factory rev limiter.[:@]

Well I'll be helping him install it and using that as a way to give him some 5.0 basics. I like the idea of the aftermarket rev limiter because even the best of drivers make some mistakes. Anybody have a preference for the kit? ZEX kits seem well put together but I really have never seen nitrous in a street car around here so I am going on just what I know, not experience.

Am I the only one who is going to call this? If he is just getting his licence, he should drive the car as is and get used to it for a little while. God knows we dont need another speed demon teenager behind the wheel of a car with 300+ HP that roughly weighs 2300lbs. Our cars can move PRETTY quick with that amount of power. After a little while behind the wheel, do the normal bolt-ons. Start with exhaust, CAI, throttlebody, underdrive pulleys, etc. Its fairly easy to do these mods with minimal experience and your basic tools. Its pretty much common sense. BTW, I am one of those speed demon teenagers (19), but I've been driving Mustangs since I was 14, started out with a 68 straight 6, then moved to a 65 GT/4spd, then my current 93 LX, and I have experience driving the hell out of my bosses 500+hp stangs.

A friends little brother just got his license and got a 90 gt. The car has 65,XXX miles on it and has a 5 speed. The engine has good compression and runs like a champ. The question is he wants it to be a little faster but can't tell the difference between a Philips and flat head screwdriver. When I brought up a H/C/I swap he looked like he wanted to cry. Then I suggested nitrous. What size shot would you recommend for a basically stock 5.0? If the number is low enough should he have any problems with the stock computer and fuel injection? The car has a full exhaust headers back and a short throw shifter. He has been driving since he was like 14 and can drive the car really well so that is the only reason I even agreed to help him make it go faster. Thanks for any input.
i woulda jumped on that boat already but i wasn't gonna argue bout it

He is only 16 and looking to nitrous the car already. I am 19 and I had the mustang since i was 15. It wasnt until i was 18 i started seriously modding it. I would tell him to wait from first had experience. When it was stock with sticky tires i still managed to put it in the ditch messing around in the country doing burnouts with the automatic still in.I would rethink the idea of nos at this point. just my opinion tho.

ya same here, i am just turning 20, and only did a few minor mods when i was younger. I would say do exhaust, intake, and maybe gears (spread them out) and let him get used to the feeling so he doesnt have an accident
