OK guys, here's my dilemna,

Have a 88GT, need to do a complete exhaust upgrade. Will also do a few minor bolt on's, probably no more than 240 - 250 hp ever. Also will stay speed density. With that said, I want to get all the horses I can get with my replacements. I spec'd out the following plan:

BBK shorties
BBK O/R H pipe
American Thunder Flows 2 1/2"

Then I talked to a reputable local speed shop today, he seemed to be a pretty straight shooter as he said that CAI is a waste on my 88GT. He suggested the following for my exhaust :shrug: :

MAC long tube headers
MAC H - pipe
MAC exhaust

I don't mind paying a little more for the horses I would supposedly get with the Long headers, but read alot of bad posts about MAC quality, also rethinking about going ahead with cats, pretty sure cat-free is illegal in Dallas area of Texas. Please I need help in this decision!!

i have a full mac exhaust and i love it, it sounds awesome, and runs awesome..

my buddy had some mac long tubes and had no problems- I would get the long tubes but the shorties would be fine too- plus the shorties will be easier to install. I have lontubes (mine are made by HOOKER) and I love them, but they make it a little harder to do a clutch job but still no big deal
