so i was cleaning my garage and found a set of 289 heads from my buddies 66 mustang that i rebuilt as my senior project in high school and we never put them on the car so i have this set of fresh heads but would they be any better then the stock 5.0 heads?

I don't think they would be worth the time and effort unless they were ported. If they are stock, you wouldn't see any real gains. Just my opinion?

find out which casting they are and look up the flow specs.

they'll flow the same, the compression will be higher, and if you didnt put hard seats in them you will pound them out by running unleaded fuel.

If they have the heart shape cumbustion chambers then they might be worth having reworked a little
