Default long story short...

Ok I had my 4.10's installed about 4 months ago. Well recently the gears have been clinking(the backlash was set improper), and its making the D/S bounce back and fourth. It started doing this about a month ago and has done it for a month. Is the trans shop responsible to fix/correct the problem. They have asked me if I did alot of burn outs/ rough driving. I havent really done any of that for a while or sense I got them installed. Im taking it to them tomorrow to see if they will fix it. They are trying to say that I caused it to do that by doing burn outs and stuff(which I havent)See after I got the gears installed I really didnt drive the car for a couple of months, But now Im driving to school about a month ago, and that when I started noticing this problem that is getting worse and worse. It only started doing this when I start using the car again. So is the trans shop responsible? I dont have a couple of $100 to fix this problem. They installed them improper, so isnt it there fault.

That's crap. You can sort of prove that you haven't been doing burnouts if all 4 of your tire show about the same where. If they don't, then don't take that approach. I think they have to take your word for it. I push the issue with them.

that bs.. I have done tons of 5 k+ burnout and yes it will lead to some wear..but not what you said..the backlash was not set correctly..and yes they are responsiable for getting it right that's why you paid them to be comitant to do the job!
