My BBK catted X sounds perfect with my SLP loudmouth 1's
i can't wait to hear my BBK o/r x withe SLP loudmouth 1's when i get it in a few months
here's what your fox will sound close to with an off road X and an slp 1 cat back...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7W6kIg-Nf9c
here's another clip of my car with the same exhaust setup except I swapped them out the slp 2's to quiet itdown...

I plan on swapping out the mid pipe for a catted X in the near future with the slp 1's, the 2's are too quiet for me.

do you have any exhaust clips? This is what I'm planning to run on my car because with an off road X it was just TOO obnoxious...

all stock now, and the drone gets easy to hate. Soon to be installed Ford ceramic shorty headers, stock H with cats, Borla muffs. Hoping my underwear gets tight when I hear the new system. Come on, you know that was funny!

i have a pypes catted x with a mac catback system and love the sound, not too loud but plenty loud enough to hear it coming...only time it comes close to bothering me at all is if i have it in high rpms in 3rd or 4th when entering the interstate but i also love the sound it makes when i do that...only probelm i had was when i got it installed they had to use an extendor to connect one of the sides of the pipe to the headers...which im betting was just the place
how's the interior drone with that setup around 2000rpm?

my off road BBK x with 3 chamber flows doesnt drone that bad at all
3 chamber flows are known for their lack of drone, that 3rd chamber greatly decreases the interior sound volume.

There is no drone with the stock setup. it's when you go offroad that it really becomes a problem.

[/quote] I understand what you mean. It must certainly be louder than what I call stock. Actually, the muffs on mine are aftermarket ones installed by the previous owner. Drone is a harmonic vibration (for lack of the proper term) that occur in every vehicle. It's just a matter of how well the silencer system deals with it. My son installed a K&N on his Z71 Tahoe AFTER he installed the Corsa catback duals, and the drone got much worse. The drone in my 92 LX got worse after I installed a CAI. If there were no cats the drone would likely be louder, and likely occur at a different RPM.

In my experience regardless of cats or catback the drone always happens at the same RPMs, between 1800 and 2000.
