waterpump DOOOHHH!
Okay so when i was doing my p/s relocation... i had to take off some bolts off the Waterpump cuz thats where 1 of the brackers had to be bolted on to...
i took off three... i only need to take off two...
1 of them i turned it really hard and snapped the bolt offf...
how the hell do i get it out now... i wanna take it off and get a new bolt to go in there... it was a long black bolt all the way on the right side of the pump (if your facing the pump)
and since i know the pump will have to come off to do this i figure why not get a new pump...
so if i buy this
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...ew=1&N=700+
will all the bolts come with it? and gasket?

RE: waterpump DOOOHHH!
No, the bolts will not come with it, btu there is a water pump bolt kit that has that bolt in it at alot of parts stores. I saw one yesterday at Vato Zone. And why buy that expensive water pump? I think the last one I got from advance was like 15 bucks with the core. About getting the bolt out, you will have to see how far the bolt is broke off. If there is a stud hanging out, maybe you could put some vise grips on or hammer a socket on there. Last motor i did i had that same bolt break off flush with the block. I had to drill it out and use an ez out. Not fun

yea man, when removing those bolts, you really need to soak em good with a penetrating oil, and work em back end forth slowly to get em out, not forcing them, now you might be screwed...i broke one when replacing my water pump, and i had sprayed em down before i even started taking them off, and one snapped right in the timiing cover...so i couldnt get a vice grip on it, so i had to drill it out and i was using an easy out, and guess what the easy out which is hardened steel, snapped off inside the water pump bolt, and without carbide tipped drill bits, i just used a torch and cut the ear off of the timing cover and welded in a new ear and shaped it and tapped it out and was good to go...

You will need the Adobe Acrobat viewer which is also a free download- to view the links below http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNPDFF?PMPAGE=1096 Use drill bushing 5/16†OD, 5/32†ID, ¾†long, P/N 07010457, price $8.57 This centers the drill bit in the housing bolt hole so you don’t get off center and damage the water pump, timing cover housing or engine block
http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNPDFF?PMPAGE=27 drill bits - use 5/32†Cobalt/TiN coated bit. P/N 78530433, price $3.91
http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNPDFF?PMPAGE=1928 Screw/bolt extractors. Use EZY-OUT Screw Extractor P/N 63760037 Price $2.67
One step specialty item: See Drill-Out® Broken Bolt Extractors drill bushing, reverse twist drill & extractor all in one unit. Best to use when the bolt breaks off with the remaining part below the start of the threads. .P/N 05027164. Price $18.33 each. You MUST have a reversing drill motor (either air or electric) to use this bit. http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNPDFF?PMPAGE=19268
A long shank tap should be used to chase the leftover metal out of the original threads. Also recommended to clean the corrosion and dirt out of the threads before you reassemble everything. Cleaning the threads will help prevent the bolts from seizing next time (yes, there will be a next time).
Long shank 5/16†taps
http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNPDFF?PMPAGE=279 5/16†pulley tap, 6†shank P/N 04801189 price $14.26
OR second choice, will not clean all the bottom threads unless you grind the end of the tap.
