to do teh swap you want the spindles off a 94 or 95 stang. the other ones have different spindles and give slight problems. the 94 95 ones are direct bolt ons. no problems at all. http://www.stangnet.com/tech/lug.html

if you stay woth oem size 17x8" rims 96+ spindles and 95+ 8.8 axles wont hurt (they are wider) but if you going with a 17x9+ rim you should stick with 94-95 spindles and ranger/aerostar axles (special brackets if you want rear disc) .

Check on jegs.com they have a new 5 lug conversion kit made for our fox style stangs. together correct axles and front spindles is under 400 bones to your door. not bad for correct fit not a guessing game.

what i'm trying to say is that can i take the whole suspension assembly like when you change the springs you take out that whole assembly out to chagne the springs.. can i take that assembly off a sn94 or 95 and bolt is right on to my 89 gt? or will i just have to take the spindles or w/e they are called.? i have the sn95 at my dad's friends towing business yard.. and im just waitign for him to get the title for it so he can brin git over.
