Default T-5 to t-45

Can I swap my factory T-5 for a T-45 out of a 99 GT?

no...t45 is one whole unit, bellhousing and all, and its designed to bolt up to a 4.6.

EDIT: why would you want to do the swap? t45 is basically the 4.6 t5.

Because I found a really nice buy on one and from what I hear they are stronger.
So what transmission should I look for besides a tko, and what did it come stock on? (Gotta be a 5 speed)

the GEARS were stronger in the t45, but everything else sucked

TKO's are really your only cheap option... aside from a Tremec T-56 or 3550
