My 87 has a broken tilt column and I bought non-tilt of a junker 89 4 banger, Should all the connections be the same and the shafts the same size and such. Also the column from the 4 cyl has cruise control and mine does not will this interfere with any of the electrical?
One last thing I have all the plastic out of the way and all I should need to do is remove the hood release and the four other bolts to drop it. But then should it slide out when I get that big *** rusty bolt off thats by the firewall?

It will work fine and the cruise control stuff should not cause any issues because it isn't connecting to anything.

Alright, I hope it does then. I am only asking because I have to take a day off work when I get a day with rain(rain means its warm enough to go outside and not freeze my bals off)

one last question, does anyone have a good angle they have used to take the big bolt under the hood by the boot off??
