RE: rearend question
uhhhh don't know...I'd have the axle tubes welded to the case to add more strength but I'd have to say easily over 600 hpjust a guess though..no strategy behind my giess either

RE: rearend question
i have a buddy who has about 400hp give or take luanches hard witha 4200 stall and he has a totally stock rearend with 373, 28 spline axles. so i would say way more than that anyway if that helps

RE: rearend question
I've got a spool,c-clip elem.and 31 spine axle's and tubes welded also. I dont think you would have to worry about breaking it. You might have a problem with the c-clip elem. leaking some. I have a slight leak on the driver's side, but not bad enough yet to pull axle.

RE: rearend question
When I put my 4:10's I asked the guy at precision gear about those axles, cause I have them
also , he said easily 600 horse , if i recall correctly, I also asked him about those c-clip eliminators and he said strickly drag racing ok, street no way, and yes he mentioned the leaks.
Good Luck

RE: rearend question
There is a guy that comes into the shop with a 90 GT that has a 572 ci big block Ford and had a Jerico in it. He ran in the low 9s with a 1.40 60'.He was usingMoser 31 spline c-clip style axles and clip eliminators. He has since changed his set up but he never broke those. I think you'll be ok.
