im trying to find out with 9:5 compression what would i be looking at realalisticly for n/a hp and torque(rear wheel). also how much power can these heads make n/a 400-500hp or so.

Some of the calulations used to figure max horsepower based on head flow show that an AFR 165 could make as much as 500hp or a bit more, but whether you could actually get that out of an engine is another issue. You'd need a real long duration camshaft in a 302 to let the engine breathe enough to make that kind of power, and the streetability would go away real quickly with a cam of that magnitude. 400hp can be attained in a streetable package with some effort.

It depends on the ENTIRE package.
If you just base it off flow and the old addage, 2-2.1 x CFM. You are looking at right around 500 HP.
Killercanary on many forums made 356 rwhp on a 8.88:1 compression 331, with a 302 camshaft and Holley Systemax intake, with AFR 165cc heads.
