Flooded = fuel in oil?

It took me a while to adjust the timing so the car would run, and when I check my oil it seems way too over filled, and the oil consistency seems more fluid like than oil like. Possible that gas got into the oil? and This is a new rebuild, should I change the oil out like NOW before I run it anymore?

Get your timing correct and settings first.

Drain the oil and remove the filter. Let it drain a few hours, that fuel or coolant will ruin your new bearings and spoil the rebuild.

take the dipstick out and smell the oil. I've also seen guys put a lighter to the oil on the end of the dipstick to see if there is any fuel in the oil.

I wouldn't use a lighter myself, but if there's fuel in the oil it'll smell like gas and the oil will seem more like water. Is it carbureted? If it is and has a mechanical pump, the pump diaphragm could be leaking, that'll cause fuel to drain into the crankcase.

No,its EFI but i'm pretty sure i flooded it pretty good, like good enough to foul the plugs, and i'm letting it drain as we speak and there is definiatly something in the oil that has diltuted it like water

5.0 is 5 qt. capacity for oil correct? I just got done putting in like 5 qt's and the dipstick reads way above crossed section, and I already filled the oil filter 1/2 way up before I put it in should I just start it and take it for a drive then recheck?
