what's the 87 LX do 0-60 or 1/4th in? What does the ground effects have to do with stability??!! </P>

I personally think the LX notchbacks looked the most aggressive. That, plus they make insane sleeper cars. On top of that they are the fastest stock...if you want a hatchback...go buy a focus...true mustangs are coupes and have been since they were first designed.

well acording to ford the fastest production that rolled off the floor was the 86 gt. it was the first year fuel injected and an awesome motor. that was straight from ford. im sure todays do not compare to that but will still give any new style a run for there money.

Hands down its proven the LXs were the fastest. Gt's have too much drag from the body graphics. You are most likly thinking of the 1995 cobra R with the 5.8 liter motor. Other than that, fastest 5.0 isthe LX. Even the cobra R with 5.0 wasnt as fast. And also its hard to beleave that one guy running a 14 flat in stock form i'm sorry but that thing had slicks <IMG src=smileys/smiley4.gif border="0">
