Is your speedometer working? I went through this one time before when my speedo gear teeth peeled off. The computer thought the car was sitting stillI guess. I put a speedo gear back in and it fixed everything.

I have a new speedo gear and nothing. My shop said that when they put their finger in the transmission when the gear goes they couldn't feel the drive gear inside the tranny that drives the speedo gear. It's there, and the way I know it is is becuase the speedo will pop on and off at random, but most of the time it's out.

I have seen that also. Unfortunately you have to take the tailhousing off the transmission, but the small clip that holds the drive gear is broken. It's a small part that you get in a rebuild kit that wasn't put in or broke during installation. Fix that and I bet you fix your stalling problem. Who rebuilt your gearbox? No offense to anyone but I'd go through it again just to be sure.
