question about E5's

I'm going to be getting a set of E7's soon that have bigger valves, new Crane valve springs, and are portmatched and i was wondering what my stock E5's would sell for. What is the normal asking price for a set of E5's and or what do they normally go for. Mine should be in better than good used condition. i was thinking of selling mine for 150 or something. If they are worth more or less than that please let me know.

If you can get $50 for them be happy. You can pick up a pair of GT40 heads for $200 and they are better than E7's. I have two sets of E7's that I can't give away.

yeah, they really are worthless. if they are E5AE's they are REALLLY worthless. E5TE's are the same as E7's. good for a stock replacement core and thats about it.

RE: question about E5's

Find someone with a 87 - 91 (92) Non-HO 5.0 who needs a set of heads they are direct replacements other than that *shrugs* not worth a whole lot. I have a set from the 87 LTD 5.0 (think they are the E5AE's) I am using the block for my re-build.

BTW that is a nice looking 76 Cobra! I'd like to find a Mustang II Coupe to do a EFI 5.0 swap into someday.

that's just as i feared[&o]. oh well, i'm gonna try and go for the gusto and sell them for $100. i'm sure i can find someone around here if nobody wants them on ebay or on here, if not i'll try and sell them to Missouri mustang. thanks for the help. also, what kind of gain do you think i'm going to get from the E7's over my E5's? I can't remember exactly what he said but he told me they have bigger valves (i think 160's), crane performance springs and they are port-matched. i know it's not going to be a huge gain but will there be a noticeable difference?

oh, and raven_ghostwolf, thanks:D. they are fun little cars[sm=gears.gif]

I asked the same questoin on here the other day. I was told very minimal. You prob won't even notice. I am going with the E7s only becasue they are hot tanked already. You decide.

well the ones i'm getting are portmatched, they have bigger valves(he said they're chevy valves, like 160's or something), and crane valve springs with very little mileage on them. i know it's not going to make a huge difference but every little bit counts and i was thinking i'd pick up at least 5-10 horses out of the deal
