Default making an easy NA 350 whp?

i am going to be building a 331 stroker here within the next few weeks and i need to get the parts here quick so i need your guys help on getting a relaible, cheap 350 whp with a 331 stroker..
the car is a 94 gt, it will not be a daily driver and will rarely ever see the strip

I dont really know anythign about cams or heads so i was thinking about money and i am looking to spend about 2,000 on heads cam and intake, so i have a list of questions which you experts will be able to answer.

the patriot heads look offly tempting but a few people have told me not too..if i got them what could i have done to them to make them better? or is there something i can do to my stock heads to improve them.

or for 2,000 how much HP can i get with a stroker? with just h/c/i??

I bought a set of Patriot heads to put on my 347 in my 94 gt. I had to have some clean up work done to them and new valve guides b/c when they did the work at their shop they gotcareless and ground on them. The shop also had to mill them .010" to get them to lay flat. If I were you I would fork out the extradough for some AFR's and save yourself thehassle. I don't know what power these are going to make yet...i'm getting a dyno tune next week if Summit can ever send me the right freakin parts. As far as cam and intake I went with the Holley Systemax and the comp cams xe274hr but a lot of people go with a custom grind. Its whatever floats your boat and fits you budget.

you could look on corral.net, stangnet.com,racingjunk.com for good used heads. I've had good experiences buying from these sites, but like alway's buyer beware, i would back off the patriots from what i've heard. You will need to upgrade a couple of other things like inj and sometime the susp. also

There better than stock but definitly not enough for a stroker, ive seen flow numbers and they dont even outflow gt40x's that are on my car, also aluminum is lighter so your saving wieght there and its easier to repair if anything goes wrong, If it were me id go with a comp stroker cam and afr 185's and youd be right where you want to be at.

Look into Edelbrock's new Pro Port CNC, it's a next generatio Performer RPM. The heads with the 170cc intake port outflow AFR 185's, and since they have a smaller port their velocity will be better. The PN is 51319. 51309 is a 190cc port that they designed for 351/strokers. Based on the flow vs port size, and the fact that Edelbrock doesn't make junk heads, I'd go with them. I wish I had the money for a set, but it's hard to justify swapping out my AFR's for them.
