AOD T5 swap professionally done in NJ
Does anyone know of a shop that will perform the swap? I have all the parts just don’t have the time to perform it. I’m in Clinton so any place in Northern or Central Jersey would be fine.
Thanks
Pete

It depends on what you wanna pay..I'd think any shop would be willing to do it..but it'll cost a pretty penny ..more so when the pedals have to be put in[&:]

The FORD dealer might do it, $700 Labor.
But this swap can be done in a weekend, the hardest dam part, is the pedal assembly, so i would do it myself little by little.

I used to do stuff like this, and I would have done it for you, for cheap too. I'm not in Jersey now though. I know a dude who is actually a good friend of mine a young guy only 24 years old, but he's really good with this stuff. He has a shop he's renting all the way down in Vineland, but he has yet to make the business yet, but he would do it i'm sure, and for real cheap.

never go to a Ford dealership... they won't do that tho... they don't fabricate....
I paid a shop to install the pedals for about $60, bc its the hardest part......
and then drove around with a useless clutch pedal for a week even... and then did the spot the next weekend.... it was a good time.

honestly i cannot see even a weekend, and i would guess they would charge closer to $1000 unless you towed it there w/ no exhaust and the existing tranny out of it.
i can remove and reinstall my t5 in 3 hours flat , thats taking the flywheel to the machine shop for resurfacing, waiting for it, and also replacing the clutch and pp
it so easy , you really should do it
