Weirdest thing just happened...
so i was leaving the gym, and when i went to start my car, it never caught. It was cranking right but it was like the spark wasn't there. It finally started after about the 4th try, but i don't understand why there wouldnt be a spark. The plugs aren't but about 2k miles old, and same with the cap, rotor, and taylor wires. I checked the connections when i got home, and found nothing wrong. I had the clutch all the way in, but it was just spinning and no catch. Any ideas here??? I just want to prevent me getting stuck in some parking lot somewhere.

+1, it could have nothing to do with spark and could have to do with fuel. I would pull your plugs and see if there all the same and just for the hell of it, buy an fpr, fuel pressure regulator, and see whats up there
Edit: when i mean pull your plugs to see if there all the same, im telling you to pull them and check to see if they all LOOK the same, aka if there is one burnt, theres an issue, if some are very clean and one is fouled with gas, etc. Not if there all the same plugs =P. hehe.

if it's not fuel related...remember the cap, rotor , wires and plugs don't create the spark..they are just a pathway through which the spark travels... the coil generates the spark which is triggered to fire via a signal from the stator through the ignition/tfi module..so anyone of those three things could be the cause if it is a no spark issue and not fuel related

hmm. Well, my afpr is saying the fuel pressure is fine. I think my fuel filter does need to be changed now that i think about it. How often is it supposed to be changed??? i'm running on a stock ignition, so i'm not sure there. I'm pretty sure the fuel is fine because it started up pretty hard like there was more than enough fuel available from me trying before.

this isent really going to help to much, but my car took a while to fire.
i bought it from a guy who let it sit for a while.
well i blew the $21 and bought some 44k, and in about 20miles, the car fires up faster, and idles way way better
its worth the shot id say.
might want to change the dizzy moduale while your at all this
