engine stall at 2,500 rpm

Default engine stall at 2,500 rpm

87 gtno egr,no air pump,65mm tb,underdrive pulleys,all sensors and acc. are new,new gas pump,new filter and regulator,Iridium spark plugs, accel wires,m.s.d.cap and rotor,stock injectors,new oxigen sensors,2.5 inch. exaust no cats,ending in a Y with a 2 chamber 3 inch flowmaster exit on driver side with 3 inch. tip,new 3 row radiator with electrical fan and .180 thermostat engine 5.0 stock with 105,000 miles on it. when try to running hard stalls betwen 2,000 and 3,000,but if you running smooth going good but at any speed you leave the gas start a poping loudly sound from the exausth.any idea what is going on?

check your base timing and is your advance electronic or vacuum?

i hada similar issue when i had my stock motor, alot of hesitation under load, spittin/popping from the exhaust...try bumping up timing to around 12-14 degrees and clean out your throttle body

best way is know or find someone to hook up a code reader to your car (remember that it is OBD1 not OBD2) because the more advanced ones from mac tools or snap on tools are capable of fully reading OBD1...fortunately I have a guy less than a mile up the road from me with one
