Except if you rebuild an engine for performance, you're not going stock. Yeah, stock heads on a Cleve are better than stock heads on a Windsor. Cleveland heads are highly over rated though. Yes, in stock form they make more power, but we're seeing more and more inline valve heads that are meeting or exceeding the flow of even aftermarket Cleveland heads, and they're doing it for less money. It comes down to where R&D money is spent. Millions are spent on inline valve heads for most street and mild track applications. The only place where you see a lot of R&D on Cleveland style heads paying off is in NHRA and NASCAR.
