If budget is an issue then I would skip the stroker kit and spend money in the heads. GT40Ps are great on a 302 but anything bigger and they aren't going to cut it. Stick with a 302-306 and spend $2500+ in H/C/I. Yes you are going to need bigger injectors more than likely and if you do get them you are going to need to have an aftermarket MAF meter and have it calibrated to the size you use.

Wow, you are absolutely no help to an honest question. The only thing you are doing is chasing a potential stanger off from this website. It has the potential to be very helpful. You are doing the converse of this. That is incredible.

Do not call people stupid. Who are you to give an opinion like that?

He stated he is not wanting to drop a lot of money on heads. So what is wrong with a budget? Have you ever heard of one?

hey man its a question no need to call me stupid. I dont hop on here and badger people id like you to not do the same no matter if the question is stupid now apoligize.I have found a set of aluminum heads for 500 bucks here are the specs.

The intakerunners are rated at 190cc andhave 60cc combustion chambers.
HEADS WILL FLOW APPROX. 270CFM INTAKE AND 200 CFM EXHAUST @600 LIFT

now is 600 lift to big for a stroker?

silentvoice - There is no need for you to apologize.

What brand are those heads?

.600" lift is not "to big". It actually helps promote torque. It also has nothing to do with piston to valve clearance.

With that kind of lift, you need to make sure you have some good valve springs.

I would be vary wary of those heads.

Either have your stock heads ported, or keep saving man.

I would keep saving and get some aluminum heads. Getting your stock heads ported is ok, Ihad a set done, but you need to find someone that knows what they are doing to make them right. When it comes to high performance you get what you pay for. What budget are you working with?
