i am removing my stock h pipe and there is a small piping connecting that runs parallel to one of the pipes going up to my headers, i cant see where the pipe goes exactly but what is it and what do i have to do with it??

It goes to your smog pump. What are you trying to do?

im putting in an o/r h pipe
do i need to put these in to the new pipe?

there is no place where it would go from the smog pump into my new pipes so can i just cut it and plug it or do i need to remove the pipe?? im trying to finish this in the morning. thanks in advance for any help.

On your new H-pipe there isn't a place to put that pipe? On the passenger side part of your new one there should be a small pipe coming off for you to put this on.

yeah there wasnt any place for it, i got it used so i dont know the name brand, it may have even been made at a shop but im not sure i picked it up at a junk yard for $25. i couldnt pass up that deal

when i put my o/r h pipe on, i had to saw off that pipe in order to get my old h pipe off. i guess 20 years did its work. If you can get it off then i guess put it back, but its a PITA. I would just remove the smog pump now and everything just falls out, sort of. If you don't want to remove the smog pump, cut that pipe as close as you can, and just get a metal clamp thing(where its like a metal circle, and you have to use a screwdriver or wrench to tighten it, forget what they are called) and put both of them together with it so it doesn't bang around.

i have a custom exhaust on my 5.0 which goes straight back. its nice and loud. also a bit a hp not much but noticable. i still have my stock headers, will changing them make any chane on sound and hp? sorry i saw the exhaust thread and jus wanted to ask, thanks.

Yes there will be a noticable improvement in sound and horsepower.
