Default How do I find my engine type?

I have a 1990 5.0 lx AOD where do i look to find out what type of engine I have?

cuz you had 2 options in a mustang since 1986 (maybe b4 that but whatever...can't remmeber when they stopped the v6 or the turbo4)

anyways, 4 cyl or or 8 cyl

a 5.0 is a 302

Just so you're not confused, many other manufacturers call different 30x displacement motors 5.0s. There's some rounding involved.

ex. Chevy 305 = 5.0L, AMC 304 = 5.0L, Ford Inline 6 300 = 4.9L...

It can get confusing.

yeah, technically, the ford 302 is a 4.9 liter, its the only one to my knowlege that was called a 5.0 tho

yay for bumps



btw there are 61 cubic inches in a liter


302=cubic inches 5.0=liters 305 is a true 5 liter

it's either a 302 or an N/A 2.3...
