I've been reading that the systemax is great but you have to have a moderately modded engine (heads, exhaust, intake, etc) because the systemax is such a breather. If it is not have good mods you will gain high RPM power but loose a little low end. HP>STOCK>TQ

They have different RPM bands and flow different rates of air.. Remember bigger is not always better... You are going to have to have a bigger cam and high flowing heads to run the systemmax properly.. The edlebrock is availible in differnt RPM bands... Just keep in mind what rpm band you want to stay in... They are both great intakes and will provide great power... The system max is said to flow the most air but that doesn't mean anything unless you can take advantage of it.. Personally i would go with that edlebrock performer for a mild build and the rpm/rpm2 intake for a more serious build... The systemmax would probably serve you best if you had a supercharger... The edlebrocks would also work fine but the systemmax would probably be more ideal.. The best thing to do would be to talk to people that have them or even better have had both...

I am going to go with the rpm/rpm2 for myself but that is because i like edlebrock for their intakes... Now if it was a carburator it would be a different story..

All in all they are both great just remember to think about what rpm band you want to stay in...

I'm no expert, but most people I talk to would recommend Edelbrock. It might not be the highest flow, but it is the best all-around I think.

The edelbrock performer rpm is supposed to be better than the cobra isn't it?
