idle and throttle body help
always when i start the car it goes up to about 4000rpm then comes down. i cleaned the sensor and still starts like this. does that piece in the picture have anything to do with it? what is that piece? and where does that wire go hanging there in the picture. on that piece a wire is suppose to go in it, but the one you see doesnt fit. also should i plug all those holes including the throttle body????

RE: idle and throttle body help
How cold is it there?
its normal for the engine to idle at a high rpm when you first start it in cold weather so the engine doesnt stall from higher oil viscosityyour computer's coolant and ambient air sensors detect the cold temp and this data goesto the computer which signals the fuel injectors' solenoids to pulse more rapidly
Is it staying at high rpm even after the motor is warmed up? Or does it go away.....
If its only doing this in the winter its normal....
4000 rpm is kinda high though
