check this out.... go to anderson ford motorsports website, go to their pms tuner page, scroll down a bit and u'll see a yellow ad link which will open up a windoes media player video about using their tuning system. u wont be dissapointed. basically a tune will free up horsepower/ torque which is restricted by factory settings.

Most likely you could pick up a little power with a tune...

But, most folks seem to go with a custom tune when they have drivability issues that they can't tolerate.
The power increase seems to be a secondary concern...

Are you having any issues???
cold start?
rough idle?
surging/bucking?

The things that will probably introduce the most error in your current (stock) tune...
Calibrated MAF
Oversize MAF (based on stock size)
Larger Injectors
Aftermarket camshaft

Those 4 things will all introduce some amount of error in your tune.
If you aren't having any issues, then it may or may not be worth the effort...

Would you buy the tuning hardware and tune the car yourself
OR
find a professional tuner to do the tune

With an H/C/I a tune is recommended, do you NEED a tune no, but if you want to get the MAX performence out of your set up then I would get a tune.

With a tune, injector pulse , rpms, timing, a/f ratio, sensor delete, tps response time and range, top sped limiter etc, can be changed to meet your new mods.

This will make your car fun to drive, and produce at least 20% more power than you have.
