Default Short throw shifter?

Im a newb and have a few questions, joined this forum because the people seem to know their stuff, and dont answer with attitude lol. i been thinking about getting a short throw in my 95 gt. does anyone have an opinion on the steeda triax? what im looking for is somethin that will still allow me to use the stock shifter boot, with no mods to the console, as well as have comfortabliltiy for everyday driving. does anyone have an opinion on what is best? thanks for any replies jay

If you don't want to do any mods to the boot...it'll be hard not to cause most of the shifters at the base have bolt stops which are a little bulky and cause you to have to slice the boot a little......but hurst makes a decent one too

how do you tell if your car has a short throw? just bought a car that seems the throws are pretty short, the shifter *** is carbon fiber so i assume he was messing with the shifter.

I have an MGW and love it! I also like that the handle is adjustable.
you'll know it's stock if you take the shift boot cover off... anybody can put a new **** on.
