98 cobra engine in a fox?

so my friend is selling me his 98 cobra engine with only 65k miles for $2500....is it a hassle to swap the cobra engine into my 87 gt?and is it worth it?

i think it was muscle mustang and fast ford magizine that had a fox with an 03 cobra engine swap, so you might research that. if i remember right it took some careful and extensive mods but in the end it looked like it rolled off the showroom floor with that engine. so if you dont mind throwing some *** and elbow im sure you'd be happy with the results.

+1, I saw that one as well. It "can" be done, but isn't a very ecnomically friendly mod to undertake.

my friend did it in his 91, he even twin turboed it, he did it pretty quick, but i can tell just by lookin it was a pain in the ***

if your going to do a mod motor swap, use a 3 valve, a terminator, or a GT500 engine, anything else isnt really worth it

A 3v is worth it but a 4v isn't?

possibe ya
but with that 2500 and the extra grand or probably more you'll spend getting it in there you might be happier putting that cash into what you already got to work with. maybe not to. it'll be faster at least
