help with setting fuel pressure
i have a basic bolt on gt with an afpr (aeromotive) and a gauge under the hood. with the engine running and vacumm line connected it reads 41-42 psi. that seems high to me. i have heard that i need to disconnect a vacuum line to get the proper reading. which vacuum line? where is it? any baseline settings i should start with? i was thinking 37-38psi. i'm hoping this high fuel pressure is part of the cause for my low gas mileage (15-16 mpg) thanks all.

the vaccum line plugs into the regulator itself. diconnect the vac line and set the pressure with the vaccum disconnected. I think you will be ok with that fuel pressure (37-38 psi). I would try it at a few diffrent pressures between 38 and 42 and see where it runs the best.

cool. now where do you adjust it? it came with the car when i bought it and i have no instructions. i have this one i know it a crappy picture but there are threads sticking out the top of the regulator, and there is a nut threaded onto it. do i turn the nut, or the thread?

LOOSEN THE NUT ON THE TOP AND TURN THE BOLT, YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED AN ALLEN WRENCH TO TURN THE BOLT. I KNOW YOU HAVE TO USE AN ALLEN WRENCH (HEX KEY) ON MY BBK REGULATOR. WATCH THE GAUGE WHILE YOU ARE TURNING THE BOLT TO SEE WHICH WAY ADJUSTS THE FUEL PRESSURE UP AND DOWN, WHENEVER YOU GET TO THE RIGHT PRESSURE, TIGHTEN THE NUT BACK UP
