Default exhaust question

it seems my 94 gt has no cats so i figure it has an of road h-pipe. it also has headers i guess you'd say they are long tubes. the car does however have stock mufflers. the car is too quiet and i think the mufflers are robbing power. how loud will the car be with just headers and a h-pipe? i run this setup on my camaro and its really loud but it has a cam. was just trying to get a feel for how loud it will be and also how much power would you guess id pick up? i was thinking 5-7hp?

Are you saying they ARE full length headers? If you have an aftermarket h already i would just change the mufflers. Not too crazy about way straight pipes sound and the car might not run as well with no backpressure. You could also use turn downs after the mufflers if you want it louder.

It sounds like you had your mind made up already, so why ask lol. Do it you might like the sound and like you said if it doesn't run good then put them back on.
