Default so now i gotta change my power steering pump..

should i go ahead and throw some underdrives for everything while im at it?

the pump hasnt gone out, but i think its wanting to. its weak right now. it wines when im idleing and doesnt steer as well as it did unless my rmps are high. think i could get by with a wining pump for a few days?

oh it never fails, i plan on doing a mod then something will break and i gotta fix it first.

I have underdrives and mine works fine at idle, However I DID have to replace mine when i got the car.

With 154K i think it did it's job. If you rent to pulley puller the pump really isn't that bad a job to replace.

I don't think that would explain the whining, though. I think he's correct and the pump is going.

mine whines too. i was thinking of converting to manual steering...until i looked at the prices of those flaming river racks. how hard would it be to steer if i removed the pump and all the lines etc. and kept the stock rack? i have skinnies, and i don't have to parallel park or anything.
