Not going to happen on the street...traction required is just not going to be there. Besides whats the point of pulling the front tire when you get destroyed down the 1320 because you're simply lacking power? Car is stock...spend some cash if you want power.

to lift the wheels off the ground on a stock stang theres only one way. you have to remove youre front swaybar (dont take corners fast) and also u need 3.73 or 4.10 gears and its only possible to do it on a 5 spd also automatics u need stall converts built right. Also slicks or drag radials and launch at about 2700 to 3500. this will get your front tires off the grown 2-4" ifdone right.you could try moving some weight to the back or just remove some of the extras that are not needed like smog pump,AC (you got 2 windows and a foot). also you could swap out ur 5.0L front suspension for the 2.3L front suspension. also trying changing your stock arms and k-member with some Q-1 tubular arms and k-member there they cut about 100lbs altogether maybe more i didnt check when i did my conversion

ORIGINAL: nitrous_bob

4.10 gears and slicks will do it on a bone stock car, launch it at 5500, it will yank maybe 2-3"

here is my first wheelie, i used a different approach to it though involving a lot of weight over the rear tires and lettingit roll backwards b4 popping the clutch off the limiter

Haha, reminds me of a story my dad told me while he was driving a garbage truck durring college, they would put it in neutral and have it start rolling backwards then slam it into drive.

Buy a jack.

Ok all kidding aside, why do you want your front wheels off the ground? Because your car is fast or because you think it looks cool?

If it is because you want your car to be fast and are not sure what to do to it, great, thats the question to ask.

If it is because you think it looks cool, you won't enjoy the repair bills after your car slams back down. They can include major engine damage, frame damage, suspension damage, and loss of your life and a huge drycleaning bill to get the brown stains out of your shorts!

Ok maybe a little over the top but you get my point.

you guys crack me up...seriously.

to the poser wanting to do a wheel stand...give up. if you have to ask,you probably lack the testicular fortitude to do,the money to obtain it..and the skills to build it. just give up.

to the others, you will know who you are,why dont you TRY what your telling this dude, before you give advice on something you have never done.

if you want to lift the tires.

go buy a set of 4.30 gears, some 28x10.5 et drag slicks, and a NX wet plate kit,and a msd window switch, jet hte plate for 175 hp...launch the car at 5500 on nitrous..and put the bitch on the back bumper...

and for naysayers... if your motor is reasonably strong...this WILL happen.
