80mm MAF on 94GT
I recently bought an 80mm MAF from a 96GT to use on my 94GT, the problem I'm having now is this...How can I adapt my current cold air kit to accept the larger MAF, or better yet is there a kit out there that works on a 94GT with a larger aftermarket MAF? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

RE: 80mm MAF on 94GT
lowet50,
The problem is that the aftermarket MAF calibrated for 24's in a 96, is not going to be the same as the same MAF calibrated for 24's in a 94.
The ecu is different between the 94 and 96 Mustangs, which is where your setup is going to get out of whack.
I wouldn't expect to be able to drive the car to the tune shop.
But, you can get everything to mechanically fit properly, so that the shop can install the 80mm MAF as they do the tune.
BTW - this does require a 'custom chip tune' as opposed to the standard dyno tune done with fuel pressure and timing....
Hope that makes more sense now,
jason

RE: 80mm MAF on 94GT
If I am understanding right, you cannot get your CAI to attach to the larger MAF...
You can probably fix it with some biggercouplers....
If you go to summitt, search for "silicone couplers"....and you will get a bunch. What size you actually need, I am not sure.....but I am sure someone else does
