bore it out a little to a 306 with forged pistons and rods.
that'll hold up to more than a hci, you could throw some forced induction on it if need be.
try and get a name brand kit, like eagle or scat.

how much does it usually cost to have the block bored to a 306?Also where is a good rebuild kit?Ive looked on summit and jegs for a scat or eagle rebuild kit,and all they have are for a 331 block and up.

lol ok maybe Im getting a little excited.I live in ma.If I rebuild the bottom end do I need to bore the block? To clean it up or anything?Im just kinda confussed on rebuilding the bottom end.I found what looks to me a real good suspension kit for a good price.Something like this http://www.brothersperformance.com/c...roducts_id/956 or http://www.brothersperformance.com/c...roducts_id/961 the only differnce I think is the more expensive one is adjustable.Do you guys think thats really that big of a deal? But my main concern really is the bottem end rebuild,a little confussed on it.thanks

depends?? if there is a big ridge at the top of the cylinder bore..it may need boring..but I often clean up any ridge that may exist if it's small with a ridge reamer then hone it with a berry hone..and slap a new set of rings and bearings in and paint it blue call it new!!!
