Default mustang almost ready to come out of storage

Alright so winter is almost over here.Ive been keeping my 89 mustang in a garage. It was an aod and I had evreything changed to a t-5 manual tranny.Anyways all engine is stock. It leaks oil So i wanted to atleast rebuild the whole bottem end something like this http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku but I dont have that much money.I can afford that bottem end kit,I want to buy there whole top end rebuild kit but at the moment I cant afford it.I will be able too down the road.Is it a good idea to rebuild the bottem end and then just put all the stock top end back on?Or do you think thats a waste?Just looking for options for a funner car to drive. It has 3.55 gearing in the rear right now too,I like that too.

The rear main seal, timing cover seal and oil pan gasket should of got installed during the t-5 conversion.

But fix your specific leak. Dont waste your money on rebuilding a 225hp Motor, until it comes down to upgrading it.

the oil pan gasket never got replaced and thats where it looks like its leaking from.a good amount of it.and also my struts are going it very bumpy and clanks when I go over a bump.I want to put a decent suspenion in.Any kits that are a decent price that replaces some stuff? My price range for like is like 600-700$ probably.

A drop kit with springs, isolators, struts and shocks will serve you perfect.

understatement lol?Maybe it would be worth it to rebuild the whole bottem end and do the suspension?

You can do that, but if you plan on installing a stroker, its worthless.

If you want to do a HCI, its worth it.

ya Im not gonna do a stroker.Just gonna do a hci on the 302.So I think thats a good idea then rebuild the bottem end,do the suspension, and then wait for the hci. Will the bottem end rebuild kit hold up when I do the hci?Or is there a better option out there?I would go up to like 800$ for a bottem end rebuild.
