Default Performance chip?

I am planning to get a BBK cold air intake and a set of aluminum underdrive pullies. Will this set up require a performance chip? If so, what do you recomend?

By a peformance chip I hope you mean a burnt chip from getting a tune. You only need a chipped burn once you have a cam but even then youcansometimesdrive without it but it would be better if you did.
If you mean an ebay chip dont buy one. There just resistors that trick your maf to think colder air is coming in. I think don't qoute me on that last part.

Engagement? That leads to marriage! Do you have ANY idea what that does to the car funds!? TERRIBLE idea!

But...
You won't need any sort of tune (like a chip would do) until after some extensive work, like a head/cam/intake swap. And when you do so, don't buy a pre-burned off the shelf chip. Get a dyno tune, it's WELL worth the money and much better than some preconfigured chip based on generic parts
