I had a very unfortunate accident a couple of months ago and my stang was wrecked into a creek submersing the whole front half of my car under water ( i have a 95 GT, btw). the accident was in 2nd week of Jan 05', and i'm pretty much done with the repair work. the big problem i'm having is that even though it has been worked on and supposedly repaired (the engine anyway) it still won't accelerate to it's full potential at times, especially when i initially fire it off. when i take off in 1st it will do just as the heading says, spit and sputter along. it does that the worst in 1st, but sometimes it will persist into 2nd and at times 3rd. i've had someone tell me to check for moisture in my plug wires or in my distributor cap, but that guy drove a tacoma. no offense to toyota guys, but i'd like to hear what some of you 5.0 drivers have to say. i really appreciate any advice you guys have for me, thanx

and make sure the plug to the MAF is dry too

i had to buy a brand new MAF after the accident, but as fas as the plug into it goes, i'll check
