manual steering options
ive been reading up on doing a manual steering converstion . and understand i can use a 79 granda rack . is that the only year that will work? will it bolt right in or do i have to buy any other parts? which other models and year racks will work?

I have a manual steering rack for a fox, for sale. It comes with inner and outer tie rods. All you need to get is the adapter that bolts to the rag joint and you would be all set.
I'd like to get $100 plus shipping for the rack.

no thats not the only way. you can go to a local parts store and get one for 79-83 i beleive but they will probly be one backorder like when i tried to order one. or you can get on ebay and buy a flamming river for $10 more than a rebuilt factory. but you will also have to get a different steering shaft because the diameter of the splined shaft coming off of the rack is different. costs a lil more money but worth it to get rid of the rag joint
