he wants 300 rwhp, thats like 345 Horsepower, this aint gonna cut it.

The Ported GT 40 swap with your other mods, gets you around 240 rwhp, or like 280 actual HP at flywheel.

To hit 300rwhp those GT40s need a professional port job (not someone on the tailgate of a pickup with a Dremel tool, someone with a flowbench)and a killer valve job along with the perfect cam and intake. If all supporting mods where there like tb, maf, injectors, exhaust, etc.and electric fan and water pump it would be close. Like I said the heads need to be killer. People have Trick Flow top end kits that don't hit 300rwhp. Gt40Ps are a good head but even with good porting they aren't going to be leaps and bounds better than a good name brand aftermarket aluminum head.

well I can understand that if I dont hit 300 im not going to be dissappointed but i think 240rwhp with ported gt40's and all the bolt on's is bad low like i said im looking for 300 if i hit 275 then so be it but there is nobody on here answered my question about what cam and what intake will perform the best with the given information to get me as close as possible to my goal

ORIGINAL: 91lx50udlose

so your saying that
ported gt40's
1.7rr
76mm maf
intake
cam
headers
tb
injectors
that it's IMPOSSIBLE to get close to 300
Actually plenty of people have made over 330hp on unported gt40 heads with just a valve job.Ever seen a nmrafactory stock car? Hell thefastest factory stock car runs unportede7's andgt40 explorer intake and makes 340 to the wheels. On ported gt40's good intake rated to 6500rpm and comp270 cam 300rwhp is easy.

Steeda 18 wouldnt be a bad choice either would a 70mm tb with those heads, im big fan of tubular gt40 mainly because of looks but they perform pretty well on 302s when you port out the lower.

This seems like its going to be an enlightening thread. b/c im aiming for 280ish rwhp with a similar set up

GT-40 iron
TF Street Heat Intake
TFS1 cam
LTs
Prochamber
24lb injecters

I plan on Thumper porting the Heads and lower intake.
