Default another battery problem..HELP PLEASE!

hey guys

two nights ago i was driving and suddenly my car started spurting and jstu shut off.I tried to start it again but it wouldnt so i got a jump.3 minutes later,it did the same thing.so I switched out the battery and took it home.Next morning, after about 5 times i started it,it did the same thing!.i went to kragen to get my batt. checked and it was good. took the alternator in,it failed.so I bought a new one.put it in,ran it for a couple minutes. Then tried to start it.SAME THING!!!!!It makes a weird noise when i try to crank it.Im thinking it mite be a blown fuse somewhere. Before my alarm would beep when i lock it.but now it doesnt.and it just went off,and I couldnt stop it or open my doors...Any Ideas?

Check to make sure the fuse for the alternator is not blown. Then make sure the connections to the battery are good.If they are not then it is running off of the battery and not the alternator.

Did you ever re-charge your battery after it went dead the first time?

whats your problem then? the battery completely died? or the car just cut off? it should crank with a good fully charged battery, it just will constantly drain if the alternator isnt charging it.

like i said, ive changed the battery twice. It seems like the alternator is not charging the battery while its running because after about 5 times start the car it starts losing power to the point where it wont start and the lights go dim.

I know you said you changed the alt. But i would have it tested again to be sure. Reman parts will fail, i've had it happen. Even if it is good at least you can definatly rule that out as being the problem.
