ya theres minimal gains, it can do a few things it lifts the carb off the intake a little bit more can reduce vapor lock quite a bit, gives the fuel more time to atomize

for a properly tuned carb car,you will see gains...but dont expect alot..they mainly help with fuel distribution/atomization like previously mentioned. it will raise the powerband slightly up higher

tb spacers on efi vehicles....do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I would get it cause its not really that expensive but be sure that after you put it on that it will clear your hood. I have one on mine and it BARELY cleared with the 14x3 edelbrock air cleaner. I got the performer intake and carb also.

you wont be wasting your money.

get a phenolic spacer...helps ALOT with heatsoak into the carb, round 4 hole,or open plenum spacer..that choice is up to you.

but either way, dont listen to the EFI guy...its not all about the HP it makes, its about how it REALLY is proven to help atomize the fuel and distribute it more evenly, and god knows a carb'd sbf needs all the help it can get in that department.

Exactly, I ended up getting the aluminum spacer and I don't remember why but I think its because I couldn't find the one I wanted at the time in the phenolic. But go for it if you can find one.

i'd have to say the heat insulating trumps any power gains, hood clearance is usually the problem, and if you end up in a drop base aircleaner that sucks too cause its not a straight shot for the air to come into the cleaner and down in the carb
