Default Question on vacuum tree.

The vacuum tree that is on the passenger side, that has 5 holes. i plugged up 4 of them which were EGR n ****, there is one more that leads to the manifold. can i plug this line up, what is it for?

on that 5 hole vacuum tree. one hole isnt used i think, and 3 are for EGR. those are all plugged. there is one more line leading from that tree to the manifold, i wanted to know what its for.

If i remember right ,only two of mine are being used from there. One is going to the EGR and the other is going to the fuel regulater.

One may be for your heater/A/C controls, but I think mine was on the driver side tree.

ya two of them go to the smog pump. 1 goes to back of the engine then 1 to the egr

not positive without a pic but that should be the line supplying the vacuum to the tree! if you've eliminated the other lines from being used, then you don't need this one either.

my 87 had a break in the vacuum line going to the under side of the intake manifold and my car was running like ****. as soon as i took off the upper intake manifold and fixed the hose my car ran perfect. if im thinking of the same one that you are this is the main vacuum line and if you plug it you car will probly run like ****.

its just the plastic tree on the passenger side. and the one line that runs to the manifold is small and looks like it has no purpose, not sure. ill try and plug it and see what happens.

i know what you mean, i dont think it would hurt anything if you pluged them, one goes to the intake, one to the egr and 2 to the smog pump
