Default DONT BUY FLOWTECH

So yeah I went cheap with my headers from flowtech, they went in fine, but nothing fit, EGR tube didnt fit so I had to buy a new one and bend it up, now it doesnt work, and car doesnt work well either (idles too fast to get the air to the EGR Valve). Flowtech is being gay and wont take it back because their finish has fried off and now the headers are pink, great, so Im buckin up and getting the 300 buck BBK polished ceramic coated headers. They better work, and Flowtech Sucks. You get more HP from the ceramic ones too I hear because they insulate better, anyway just dont get Flowtech. <IMG height=27 src=smileys/smiley7.gif width=31 border="0">

<IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">I have the BBK Shorty Un-equal length headers, ceramic coated. The look awesome. Some work getting them in though. The passenger side went in all right (from the bottom of the car) but I had to take the steering arm off the driver's side to get that one in Also from the bottom of the car) The EGR was a tad too short too. Whatever you do, don't buy the BBK H-pipe w/ converters. they don't line up for sh*t!! They look great but the pipe doesn't have the correct bends in it to fit correctly. Sent it back to Summit...ordered MAC instead. Hope it fits right!

Mac fits better than bbk, but bbk looks better and lasts longer due to the ceramic coating instead of "paint". Flowtech just plain out suks... not to say I haven't used them before shhhhhhhh

What do you mean the EGR is too short! It was way too long last time, what did you do?

Flowtech sucks, they aren't popular at all with F-body guys either. They are really affordable though haha.

Has anyone ever installed heddman headers. I am thinking about getting some long ones with a bbk 'h' or 'x' pipe to equalize the exhaust pressure and increase hp. <edited><editID>Shadow Rider</editID><editDate>37904.4888078704</editDate></edited>

I just threw on the BBK shorty cermaic un-even headers this weekend on my 94. The passenger side was a piece of cake and the EGR tube went right on no problem!!!! The drivers side was another story. Hard to get to torque on some of the bolts but other than that fits like a glove. I also ordered a free flow h-pipe and it kinda fits, the passenger side tube that runs up to the hedder opening rubs against my frame right where it curvs up, but threw some heat wrap on it now it is as silent as can be. But other than that i thnk the BBK shorties are awsome and would recemond them to anyone.

I think macs are better fit and quailty..as for the "c" coated one they look great and will for a long time but on a street car you won't see any performance gain with the c-coat. as for HEADMAN they have been around for like 100 years but they used to use light gauge metal not a good thing but they may have changed..very few exhausts go on without a lil tweaking
