Default f303 with stock pistons?

f303 cam with stock shortblock do i have to cut the pistons for clearance?

What year?. I'm not an expert, but I believe the 86s had flat tops that could be an issue. 87 and later should be fine as long as the cam is indexed correctly. But as you've seen on here before, the only way to be 100% positive is to check piston to valve clearance.

What heads..... ported E7's, GT40's, GT40p's?....... very unlikely.... you should check for PtV anyway and degree that F-cam though.... + upgrade the valve train.

The precision of the camshaft accuracy is not always spot-on. A degreed camshaft is a good place to start to see where the camshaft stands in comparison to where it should be.

Valve diameter is a factor as well.
