RE: ? on AFR heads
i kinda wondered..cuz i had heard people talk about gettin 8mm valves cuz there better..then i saw they came with them and the .600" springs...lol $30 is like a penny being compared to a dollar when buying 1400 dollars worth of heads specially if they will make it stronger lol...

stud mount rockers are easy to adjust, no shims like the pedestals.
i have the 185's and it took about 1500km before 2 of the studs broke, turns out they werent long enough, so now I run ARP studs for a chevy.

the Steeda #19 with 1.7s is .510 lift, relatively low but still better than .480 with stock rockers.
How are stud mount rockers easier to adjust? All I had to do was buy the correct length pushrod and then bolt my rockers down, I don't see how it gets much easier than that. Did I get lucky?

They're easier to adjust because if your preload is off a bit with pedestal you either have to mess around with shims, or buy longer pushrods. With stud you can move the rocker itself up/down. You just have to make sure the geometry is correct.
