Removing just the motoris a piece of cake. Just unbolt the starter, bellhousing, motor mounts, exhaust, fuel/vacuum lines, fan, radiator and hoses, throttle cable, tvcable if equipped,electrical, upper intake, and the motor will come out easily. Getting it back in with the transmission in place is another story. I've done it a bunch of times, it's just a little tougher to line up with the tranny in.
